These works were exhibited at the Nona Gallery, 41 Grafton Street, Windsor. 

I have used acrylic paint and various mediums on marine ply cut to the approximate size of an album cover.

This was art as public engagement. This concept aims to articulate our shared ideas and ideals. Visitors were encouraged to take a card then write or draw what they would like to make. These were then hung on easels to share with others. Seeing the ideas of others and being able to identify with their way of thinking can help to move us away from the scenario of manufactured differences. My role is to frame the activity, then hand over the creative process. This is a dynamic of allowing things to happen rather than determining an outcome. I’m asking people to stop and take time out to think.

In June 2013 I ran two Kids Land Art workshops. As an Artist in Residence I constructed a Contemplation Cave out of Pandanus leaves.

I walk along Kedron Brook or through the surrounding forest most days. Over the 20+ years of living nearby I have come to appreciate this green artery of Brisbane. I take lots of photos of trees and record mini-films of creatures or the bubbling brook. We have watched the brook become a small trickle during the drought and seen it in full fabulous flood mode. Birds abound, enriching the soundscape with their twitterings and raucous cries.
